Katherine Pfeiffer, LMSW, IMH-E®
Hi! I’m Katherine, a limited license Infant Mental Health therapist. I am passionate about working with clients focusing on the attachment relationship between caregiver and child.
My professional journey started with my own family. My husband and I have five children, some through adoption and some through biology. Parenting is both hard and beautiful. Learning how to support and delight in a child takes time. When my child and I started play therapy, I was able to focus on bonding with my child while being guided by our own therapist.
Eventually, I found my home in the therapeutic setting with parents and young children.
I believe that we are made to be in relationship, whether that means with a partner, with our children, or with other significant people in our lives.
I use a psychodynamic approach to therapy with a focus on my clients’ strengths. Every individual is the expert at their own life, and I strive to build trust through cultural sensitivity and respect.
Outside of therapy, I love time with my family, time alone, and time with the pottery wheel. My loved ones are important to me, and my joy comes from connecting regularly with them.
I look forward to sharing a safe space with you.
