Amy Delira, LMSW, IECMH-E®, PMH-C
Hey there! I'm Amy, a licensed and endorsed psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience supporting parents and their young children through the perinatal period, infancy, and early childhood. I also offer support to infant and early childhood professionals across the state and country through reflective supervision, consultation, and training.
Alongside my role as a therapist, I’m a mama to two energetic kiddos, and two pups. When I’m not supporting others, I love to be still, explore nature, practice yoga, read, and connect with those I love (usually with some yummy food, games or art).
No matter which role I’m in, I’m 100% human— which means I get it. I know just how messy and beautiful and overwhelming it can all feel sometimes.
As a mom + therapist, I understand how important a parent’s wellness is to the mental health and development of their children. I also know that within each of us is an infant and young child who has a story to tell and that our wounds can become our children’s wounds if we don’t do our own healing work.
When I found Infant Mental Health I found... myself. I found connection and meaning in my story. I found the work that I was designed for and the place where I could make the greatest contribution to my community. I also found hope. Hope that we can grow new roots and repair generational wounds. Hope that we can parent differently than we were parented and learn to create healthy connections within ourselves, with our families, and with our children. I’m passionate about supporting parents and individuals as they begin to understand how developmental and relational traumas show up in parenting and in their present relationships.
I’m certified in perinatal and postpartum mental health, endorsed in infant and early childhood mental health, and rostered in child-parent psychotherapy— these credentials mean I have both extensive training and years of experience that support the work I do with families and young children. As an experienced relational and play therapist, I can help parents and children reprocess trauma and mend relational difficulties using play and interaction as a pathway towards integration and restoring balance in relationships.
My therapeutic approach is relational, holistic, and deeply rooted in the transformative power of human connection. Through my understanding of somatic and body-oriented modalities and practices such as EMDR, yoga and mindfulness, I can support deeper exploration and healing in the therapy space.
I’m dedicated to providing services that help heal systemic trauma, honor our shared and diverse cultural experiences, and advance social justice for the families and communities I work with.
I look forward to becoming part of your community of care.
